Today, I woke up feeeling great! A bit sore, but in good spirits. Only the past couple days have been like this. The weeks before that felt like hell. I feel like I'm going through mental bootcamp and so far I am kicking ass.

As you know I have been training for my half marathon, and yesterday I DID IT! The day started out perfect. Woke up at 5 am before my alarm, had a small oatmeal breakfast/pre-workout drink and stretched with my running crew at home (Greg (moms boyfriend), mom, and Amy (moms friend!) Headed out to the beach, 4-Runner crammed and walked with the other 20,000 people to the start line.

The sun was out, the sky was clear. I couldn't have picked a more perfect day to run this race. I felt soo lucky. I heard in the past the weather for this event was horrible. Rainy, stormy, gloomy. Did a small warm up run. The energy there was indescribable. Just the energy of everyone pushed me for 80% of my run, the other 20% was mental strength.

The course was beautiful!!!!! Started at Shades Hotel on PCH, ran towards Warner. Took a small "hill" detour at Seapointe and continued towards Warner. Made a U turn back towards the finish line and was surprisingly at 9 miles already. So from 9 miles out, it was a straight shot back to the finish line with the beach to my right the whole way!

Greg and I stayed together the WHOLE ENTIRE WAY pushing and pacing each other till the very end! Thank you Greg, without you I would have burned out mile 7 :) With no injuries or stopping, I finished with an estimated (Garmin time) Hour and 48 minutes with Greg! The best half marathon I have ever been apart of or will ever be apart of. Now, what's next? haha another half marathon?!?!?

Took the day off work to rest my body. I spent the rest of the day laying in bed watching Superbowl commercials and the halftime show (Go Madonna! A facelift has never looked sooo goood!) Heading back to LA today (or tonight). Heading out to a Yoga class soon to stretch me out a bit. I can't really walk!!

Saturday shot the Spring 2012 lookbook for Stripe Boutique! Spent the day hiking through the hills of Lake Forest. I'll post pics soon :) But for now, heres a sneak peak.

My horoscope reminded me of something the other day. It read, "You have forgotten how powerful you are. And you are overlooking a few important facts: You have amazing willpower and determination..."

Lately I've been feeling so weak to a certain situation. Like I have no control over my feelings or my actions. I don't truly believe in horoscopes, just read them for fun, but this particular one really helped me that particular day and the days leading up to right now. I carried this with me for my run, and I will continue to carry it with me for the months of mental bootcamp to come.

Shortcuts only prolong the healing process, and I refuse to pick at my wounds. "Starting over is hard. Starting over again is even harder. Imagine how hard it is to start over again and again, and again."

This weather has been so unpredictable lately. I guess I only notice because of all this running I've been doing to prepare for the half marathon coming up in a week. Terrified that I won't beat my time from three years ago. It feels good to run this much. 5 miles seems like a breeze now. This is my last hard week of training before I get to indulge in carbo loading and easy runs to save my legs. I'm going to attempt ice baths too after my runs. I hear it works wonders :)

Work at BPCM has been so great. I'm going to put my all in to it and hope it pays me something back in return, hopefully a job or a lead on a job. I've never wanted so desperately to make an honest living, to earn my money for my skills that I have acquired from school. It's time to pay back my god damn student loan. Oh God why did I have to graduate during the worst possible time??

Where jobs are limited and hard to come by. Why wasn't I just born a few generations earlier... when life appeared easier. When having a college degree wasn't equivalent to having a high school diploma. I always wondered... is school really all just a huge waste of time and money? Lucky for me my Dad was poor enough to get me through one year of college for free. I guess that's the ONLY thing he contributed in my life.

I'm really coming to notice the absence of a male presence in my life. This years Christmas party was 98% women. I wonder what that means... I just don't want to die old and alone.

I've been stuck in a funk lately. It's not like me, to be down and unmotivated. My comfortable bed has been the culprit in all this. I just want to lay in it all day. If I didn't have work or have to train for a run, I would really just lay in bed...alll..day... I also credit friends and family for giving me a reason to peel myself out of bed, thank you for putting up with my shit. I LOVEEEE you guys.

New Start

Is is too late to make a NEW New Year's resolution? I promise to find happiness in myself. If I can't be happy alone, I can't be happy with someone else.

Only a couple weeks before the Huntington Beach Superbowl half marathon. I get so nervous just thinking about the halfway point.. I hope I make it through alive with no injury. I completed 9 miles today. It kicked my asss so hard I slept for the rest of the day. Oh to be lazy!!!

Training for this event has been therapeutic. There is nothing better than getting healthy when your feeling down. If I work on my health and body, my soul will heal all on it's own.

I've been juicing carrots and apples everyday and my god. It's better than a milkshake with ice cream on top. You've gotta try it And don't go cheap on your juicer, it's worth the money.

Starting this week I'm going to start looking for spots to work at in LA during the weekends. I don't see any reason for me to commute back and fourth from LA to the OC. Work has definitely NOT been worth the commute. Fingers crossed.

Sweet Water

I've been on vacation for far too long... but over indulgence is necessary and much needed sometimes.

New Years was amazing. Made some vacation $ and even got to have my New Years Even Kiss!!!! I had the honor of working the Tiesto event, which was an amazing amazing show. The whole weekend was a great turnout for Identity Group! Cheers.

Soon after NYE, I disappeared to Mexico to attend the BPM Festival at Playa Del Carmen. Tequila, Lobster, and House music?!?!?!?!? Heaven.. YES... It was a short but very sweet trip.

Visited the Tulum Ruins, met some interesting people, and MET STEVE ANGELLO at the airport on our way back to the States. It was unreal. We also met Stefan from Cosmic Gate :) Overall, an unforgettable trip.

It was devastating to leave. My heart is still in Mexico lounging in a hammock.

The Monday after returning from Mexico was my first day at BPCM. My first week was eventful. I hope this internship opens up many doors for me to run through because I am soo ready.

My mother also informed me that she has signed me up for the HB Superbowl half marathon the first week of Feb. The last time I ran/trained for the half marathon, I was 20 and gave myself over a month of severe preparation. But two weeks is what I have been given...

A little pre workout drank, praying, and last min. hardcore runs is what I am depending on. Let's hope I'm not slower from my 20 year old self. How depressing.

FAMILY FATBOOOTH!

My mom hosted the Christmas party on Christmas Eve this year! The foood was amazing!! Tomato pesto salmon, mashed potatoes, veggie tamale, RICE, and peach cobbler.... ate about every hour! Had girl/therapy/cousin time. It was the best.

My mama got me new runnin shoes and running shorts :) Granny got me newww undies. Ashley got me a dope coffee mug cuz she thinks I'm a "hard bitch?"

Day 2, Christmas day (today) was spent at my Aunt's house for my Dad's side of the family. The Crazy Cuenco side!!! Although I was the only one drinking, they are stilllll cwazy and I loved it! Babies loved their French Hello Kitty sweaters that were tooo large! Love you Cuenco's.

Now, as I sip on my sleepytime tea and watch The Grinch, I can't wait for tomorrow! RUNNING and DIET TIME! I only get to eat like that twice a year... phew. Time for New Year!

Niggas in Paris 10 TIMES!?!?!?!?!? That shit cray. Attended the third and last day of the Kanye West and Jay Z concert at the Staple center this past tuesday. It was one of the BEST concerts I have ever been to in my life!

Doubledated with some friends in the 3rd freaking row. I could see their damn sweat drip of their faces. Insanity.

I've missed you oh so much hip hop. Whats next? Ms. Lauryn Hill in February??? I think so!

The last few weeks before the new year are going to be so crazy. Christmas with Mom and Dad's side. Ugh my pockets.. my bank account.. ughhhh... New Years day with Tiesto... I don't think I am ready for it at all.

I've also put my 2 weeks in for EFG and I will start at BPCM come January 5th. Everyday is a new adventure. Tonight, my first Christmas Party!

Last night, I saw AMAZZZZING Erykah Badu. When we arrived, they UPGRADED out tickets to front row for FWEEEEEE!! OMGesssh I could see the light in her eyes.. we were so close. She was nothing but amazing, more amazing than I expected...

This week has been pretty good. Work at EFG has been extremely productive. Just finished the Spring 2012 Roster for the Fashion Department. :) Just another thing to add to my portfolio. Wooooo to internships (not) haha. Check out my boss man Rembrandt Flores in this video clip. Aww those Dimples..

I don't know if it's the weather, but I am such a homebody. It's just far too cold to go out. Id rather lay in bed and cuddle alllll night. That sounds so much more appealing.

I can't wait for the holidays. Xmas trees are up and I gotta start saving for gifts. eeeeek. Where is all this money going to come from? Maybe I should stop shopping.. NOTTTT.

Birthday Day Three

This past weekend was eventful and I'm glad I got the weekend off work to spend it with my best friend in the whole wide world for her 23rd birthday. We finished off the weekend with Sunday Funday at Ten for Blackout then headed off to Boiling Crab hmmmmm.. Thanks again Bobby for taking care of us :) I LOVEEE YOU!

Just watched "My Week With Marilyn" with Diana tonight. It was oh so good. Michelle Williams is nothing less but amazing. I suggest this movie :)

This week has been crazy!! Starting off with a SOLD out night at Ten with the EC Twins.. WTF... people and their pre thanksgiving party. Animals..

And Turkey day spent with my family of strong women. Mama, Lola, and Sophia. I cooked us a great feast of Veggie Tamale Pie, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Stuffin', Baby Broccoli, and RICEEE duh.. And finished off the night with the GAGA special. Love that woman.

Sat was SOPHIAS BIRTHDAY!!! We celebrated with a dinner at BOHO in LA and finished off the night at the Roxbury with some old friend. Hmmazing birthday as usual. I love love love you Sophia!!!!!

Growing Pains

These fews weeks since I last posted have been insane. I finally found a place and moved to a giant house in West Hollywood. I love it! It's right in the middle of everything!!! Although I am never home. I hate how I am so stuck on the OC. It's the taurus in me. It's so unfair. I can't conform to any sort of change in my life. I think maybe it's because I'm scared.

Life has definitely not been how I imagined it would be after graduation. I thought it would be easier... but I don't know what gave me that impression. What I miss most about being in school are the seasonal breaks. Spring break, summer break, winter break, etc. In the grown up version of life... there are no BREAKS!! It's sooo devastating!!! Money never sleeps, I have found out. I find myself asking all the people I look up to the same questions, "Where were you when you were 23?" And most of them replied with, "lost". And that is exactly how I feel. I know where I want to be, I just don't have the blueprint to getting there quite yet.

But enough complaining... Today, has been a great day! I'm seeing Erykah Badu Dec 8th at the Wiltern wooooohoo can't wait.

It's ~~October~~!!! Weeks away from my favorite holiday (I consider) of the year!!!! hallowweeeeny.

Sunday Sophia and I went to Downtown LA Fashion district to gather some materials for my costume as Shocantelle Brown :) I can't wait.

I'm still floating around like a damn gypsy. I'm actually enjoying it. I get to slumber with my wife Sophia and see my familia on the weekends. Going home is like a mini vacation.

I almost forgot to post.. I was spotted in the Dada Life music video for "~~happy violence~~". God I'm sucha groupielover for them. Check it out!

Months ago, I was approached by this fine fellow Mitchell. He's a photographer from Australia and asked me to shoot a Tuesday for his blog. Since I LOVEEEED his blog, I was jumping at the chance to shoot.

Whew. I'm so glad this month is almost over. It has been the worst month I have had in years.

I have moved out of my Sherman Oaks apartment and I am currently looking for a space in West Hollywood or somewhere near there. Call me a gypsy... But I love spending the week with my Wife Sophia :) Thanks for letting me bunk up next to you mamabear.

I just started my new internship with EFG PR in West Hollywood with an emphasis on Talent and Events. This company is amazing and I'm happy to finally start the chase to my dream. And I made a promise to try to understand Twitter so add me on Twitter. I need the experience. My Twitter.

It was my mama's 51st birthday August 20th and I decided to gather 8 of my friends and surprise her with SKY DIVING!! My mom is very athletic and adventurous, so I knew she would love the idea. We headed to lake elsinore without her knowledge... not until we parked did she realize we were jumping out of a plane. It was filthy hot, 112 degreees, but luckily they had a pool. Thank you again for everyone who participated to make this birthday the best one she has ever had :)

Sutra just bought out 888, I'm crossing my fingers I land a Bottle Service position there! Eeeeeek.

I can't wait for the weather change. I love Summer, but I am ready for the heat to go away. Hello to sweaters and pants. I try to not shop online, because it is the death of me and my wallet. but I reallllly reallllly want these NOW.. Boy.. please buy them for me :) I'lll love you and kiss you forever. Thank you!

God, where has Summer gone? It's already mid August, another month of rent is due and I'm losing my tan already!

Living in LA has been interesting... Surprisingly enough, I'm never home. OC is harder to leave than I thought... So every weekend is a vacation for me now.. I love it.

But things are looking up. I just finished my internship at Dell et Ruhs and I started my new job at ITA-LA today. I'm currently training to be a talent theatrical/model agent. We will see where this door will lead me.

I also landed an interview with SBE for bottle service in LA. Fingers crossed... I hope I get a job in LA for nightlife.. I need to force myself to settle in to LA.

It's been a while, bloggie. So much has happened since the last time I wrote.

Apartment hunting in an unknown place like LA was like hell on earth. Thankfully, Anastasia found us a beautiful apartment in the depths of the heated valley of Sherman Oaks.

Frankly, I'm extremely homesick...

I need to force myself to settle in to LA and try to find a job after this internship ends. eeeek. Real World, don't be cruel.

Due to the difficulty of the move, I have decided to focus on myself, and only myself. I didn't want any distractions or feelings of wanting to move home and quit it all for a boy.

It's hard but it's the decision I had to make.

This summer has beeen soo crazy!! EDC in Vegas (never again.. to much partying for me), Dada Life in SD with the girls from work, and the local madness..

Thankfully, my schedule allows me to shoot with Luna every once in a while since I'm in the OC on the weekends. I loveeeeee that place. They kill me.

Whew these past week have been a whirlwind. I turned 23 (eek) and spent the day taking 3 finals for finals week and had a gigantic dinner with my friends at Boiling Crab. I finally graduated (walked) from CSUF.

I immediately started my internship at Dell et Ruhs showroom in West Hollywood. So I am currently here in LA for most of the week living out of my suitcase in Sophia's cabana haha. Thank you Wifey for taking care of me.

House hunting twice a week is a full time job!! Anastasia (my future new roomie) and I did find a couple cute spacious places in Sherman Oaks and Studio City. We will be making a final decision next week. Fingers crossed we find something we LOVE.

Leaving home is so hard. I can no longer play dress up with Luna Boutique. It's quite depressing. Having to find another job out here in LA to pay the bills... gah so exhausted just thinking about it.

Sunday visited Linus Shentu to shoot with Christina B. The only thing I wanted to do was remake this famous photo..

I believe we surpassed the fabulousness of it...
